Tabata FAQ
- What is Tabata training?
- Tabata is a high-intensity interval format: short work periods alternate with brief rest, repeated for multiple rounds. A common prescription is 20 seconds of work and 10 seconds of rest for eight rounds in one block. You can adjust work, rest, and rounds to fit your session.
- How long is a typical Tabata workout?
- One classic Tabata block is eight rounds of 20 seconds on and 10 seconds off—about four minutes for that block, not counting warm-up or cooldown. Many sessions use several blocks or mix Tabata with other work, so total time varies.
- How do I use this Tabata timer?
- Set work seconds, rest seconds, and the number of rounds. Optionally name your workout. Tap Start Workout to open the timer screen, or Save for Later to store the preset in Saved Workouts on WOD Clock.
